Two Can Do More.
Let's Make Mentorship Matter

Structured cross-industry mentoring for expert-led industries — building confidence, clarity and connections that last.

What is TwoCan® Mentor?

Over 300 professionals have already joined TwoCan — proof that structured, cross-industry mentoring works.

We’re now expanding that model across six sectors. Because the challenges facing a vet practice owner, a dental principal, a farm business leader or a growing SME are not as different as you’d think. You’re the expert in your field. You’re also the manager, the leader, the strategist — expected to stay current, make good decisions, and develop others, often without a moment to pause. TwoCan Mentor exists for that person.

Our programme is grounded in Nuffield Farming Scholarship research and built on a whole-person matching process, developed with academics and data scientists, that connects people across sectors — not just within your current circle. The outsider perspective is often the most valuable one.

Why our approach works

Built on four pillars:

Icon - people connected, coming together around a gear icon
1. Cross-Industry

We match people across sectors, not just within them. The perspective you can’t get from your own sector is often the one that changes everything.

Bespoke Matching Software
2. Powered by our whole-person matching process

We look at values, goals, communication style and lived experience — not job title. Developed with academics and data scientists, it is what makes our matches work.

3. Structured & Supported

Every relationship has a clear framework, regular check-ins, and a dedicated support contact. Nothing is left to chance.

Icon - person climbing steps towards their destination marked with a flag
4. More Than Mentoring

CPD webinars, peer groups, and community events. The programme is the beginning, not the whole thing.

Don’t just take our word for it...

Your Trusted Mentoring Partner for Franchise Networks and Organisations

You know mentoring works when it’s done well. The challenge is making it happen consistently across a network.

TwoCan becomes your dedicated mentoring partner — designing, running, and managing structured programmes across your organisation, so you don’t have to build the capability from scratch.

We work with franchise networks, group practices, membership bodies, and employer organisations across veterinary, dental, optometry, pharmaceutical, food and farming, and SME sectors.

We are actively working to qualify the programme as verifiable non-technical CPD across our regulated sectors — a tangible benefit we will confirm as soon as accreditation is in place.

We do the heavy lifting. You take the credit.

About Helen Wyman

Founder of TwoCan Mentor

As a Nuffield Farming Scholar, Helen’s research focused on how mentorship transforms confidence, leadership, and career paths. With a career spanning food, farming, environment, and energy, she’s seen the impact that the right conversation at the right time can have.

That’s why she built this business—to create structured mentoring opportunities that don’t just exist in one industry but work across them all.

Now, TwoCan Mentor is bringing that vision to life, ensuring that mentors and mentees get the support, training, and connections they need to thrive.

The Carnation Effect – Absorbing New Perspectives

Imagine placing a white carnation in split-coloured water. Over time, the petals absorb the colours, transforming into something entirely new.

That’s mentorship.  By engaging with people outside of your usual circles, you absorb new insights, perspectives, and confidence, growing in ways you never expected.

Just like the carnation, your success is shaped by the environment and influences around you.  At TwoCan Mentor, we create the perfect conditions for you to thrive.

We Support You

We don’t want barriers to stop anyone from accessing mentorship. If finance is a concern, please speak to us—we offer flexible payment plans and can direct you to charities that may be able to help.

We don’t just match you and leave you to it. Our structured approach ensures long-term success.

Emma Steele

Knowledge Exchange at AHDB

A bit about you

I was brought up on a mixed livestock farm in East Yorkshire. After studying Agriculture at Newcastle University, I moved down to Warwickshire for my first ‘proper job’ at AHDB in the beef & sheep genetics sector. I did that for 3 years before taking a secondment into the Knowledge Exchange team at AHDB, being the point of contact for beef & sheep producers between Lincolnshire and Herefordshire. A year secondment, turned into 2 and then I got invited to stay! I’ve now been in the role 5 years and enjoy the variety my role brings – no two days are the same.

Why did you decide to join the programme?

I love my job and my team, but I was looking for a new challenge when I came across Helen and Twocan Mentor at an industry networking event. Being mentored sounded like a great idea and opportunity to push myself. Having been in the same organisation since I graduated and the same role for a while, you can sometimes become a little sheltered from how other organisations and job roles work. This seemed the perfect opportunity to get an alternative opinion on my career and development from people that have a very different experience to me and don’t really know me, so have no bias.

What do you hope to gain from the experience?

I would love to have some goals and something to aim for, I don’t know where I see myself in 5/10/15 years, so I’m hoping this scheme will help me bring some clarity to that and work out what I do and don’t want from my career. I’d also like some different opinions on how to deal with work challenges – especially when people have different ways of working. I’m a planner who likes a reasonable amount of detail, a fair amount of control and time to think things through, so working with people who don’t work in that way is inevitable, but can be frustrating
